Perfect companion for the Remoran Wave 3 hydrogenerator

The Remoran EasyLift system is the easiest and safest way to operate your Remoran Wave 3 in any weather. It can be operated from your boat's deck, from the safety of the railings. Both lifting and lowering, as well as angle adjustment and locking in place are possible.

EasyLift allows Remoran Wave 3 to be lifted and lowered while the boat is moving, at up to 10 knots. The advantages are significant especially in ocean sailing.

EasyLift is especially suited to boats with traditional closed transoms, without an open swimming platform (sugar scoop) or hatch. It can also replace an existing long rail install for even more convenience.

Q: How is it used?

To lower the generator into the water, follow these steps.

1. Starting position is at the top and fully locked in place.
2. Place the rod
3. Turn three rotations clockwise; this unlocks the lifting device
4. Lower the lifting device to the bottom of the rail by using the rod
5. Turn three rotations counterclockwise; this locks the lifting device in place at the bottom
6. Continue turning until desired angle has been reached
7. Remove the rod

To lift, repeat the steps in the opposite order.

Q: I have already installed the long rail, can I convert this to an EasyLift?

Yes. The long rail will need to be replaced by the EasyLift rail. The bolts are the same size. The rail is completely new, designed to fit the ball bearing wheels of the EasyLift lifting device. The standard length is 100cm, which is the recommended install length. It can be shortened from the top if necessary.

Long Rail kit

Choose the long rail for increased comfort and safety compared to the standard rail. Especially helpful in case you need to raise or lower Remoran Wave 3 from the water during your trip.

The Long Rail kit allows the outboard unit of Remoran Wave 3 to be fitted onto the rail without the turbine reaching the water. The unit will be held securely at the top position, until you decide to lower it into the water, which can be done under moderate speed (5 knots or less), providing a lubricant has been used on the rail. In high speeds and larger waves you still need to turn the boat toward wind to reduce speed to 5 knots or less while raising or lowering the unit.

Best for use in boats with wide transoms where a central installation is not possible. Usually mounted in pairs, one on each side.

Q: How long is the Long Rail?

The long rail is available in 70cm and 90cm lengths. Each version can be optionally shortened by 10cm at the factory. Please specify your desired length when ordering.

Q: I already have installed the standard rail, can I convert this to a long rail?

Yes, if there is enough room for it on your transom. An additional hole is needed for the new top bolt. Proceed according to the Long rail manual, found in our downloads section.

Standard Rail

The standard rail is a compact solution to mount your Remoran Wave 3 hydrogenerator. It takes minimal space on your boat's transom, and holds the generator securely in all weather conditions.

The standard rail is included in the Remoran Wave 3 sales package. Please note that the hydrogenerator cannot be unmounted from, or mounted onto the standard rail while the boat is in motion.

Q: Why do I need to stop the boat to mount or unmount the hydrogenerator on the standard rail?

The whole 20cm length of the short rail is needed to keep the hydrogenerator securely held. If removed while in motion, the force from the flowing water will twist and pull the generators frame, possibly damaging either it or the rail.
